4 Great Ideas for What to Do in Stouffville

Considering its past reputation as a bedroom community in York Region, you can’t be blamed for wondering about what to do in Stouffville. But when you take a look at all that the town offers its residents today, you’ll be looking for Stouffville houses for sale

Things to Do in Stouffville Ontario

As a family community, there’s something for everyone in Stouffville. Here are some of our favourites.

    1. The Heritage Railway – You gotta love living in a place where there are things to do that you can’t do anywhere else. Well, at least anywhere else in the GTA. The volunteer-run York-Durham Heritage Railway rolls out of Stouffville on Sundays from June to October on its way to Uxbridge. And even if you’ve already taken the trip, you’ll want to do it again as different passenger cars are outfitted with different styles of seating. You can also get something to eat or a refreshment in the Snack Car.

    2. Lionels Farm – Kids of all ages love to get close to and feed all the farm animals, from alpacas to bunnies. You can also go for a pony ride, see the grounds on the back of a wagon and enjoy a sleigh ride in winter. And it’s a great place for a birthday party too.

    3. Coultice Park – Stouffvillians enjoy the opportunity to get away from it all just by going up the road a bit. Set on the shores of Musselman Lake, Coultice Park is a great destination for a summer’s evening or weekend day trip. Attractions include a splash park, basketball court, playground and picnic areas.

    4. Gallucci Winery – When Mom and Dad find a babysitter, the Gallucci Winery is a great option. From the walk-in tasting room, to a full-on 45-minute winery tour that features a structured tasting of four wines and cheeses under the direction of a professional wine consultant, there’s nothing that any winery offers anywhere that isn’t available at Gallucci Winery. And you can stay for dinner featuring a full menu of their Italian specialties.
