Whether you’ve always been a “walker”, or your appreciation of walking trails was sparked by the pandemic lockdowns and restrictions, you luckily have a wide range of options in and around Stouffville.

Walking Trails in Stouffville

The many options Stouffville offers makes it easy to find routes that suit your abilities and tastes.

In Your Neighbourhood

In addition to being safe, many neighbourhoods have built-in walking trails. This is one of the aspects that makes Stouffville such a desirable place to buy a home.

For example, in the neighbourhood on the south side of Hoover Park, between Hwy 48 and 9th Line, walking trails almost completely encircle the community. You can take a stroll to run errands at Walmart, almost entirely on walking trails!

The Reservoir/Conservation Area

If you want to incorporate more nature on your walk without venturing too far from home, the Stouffville Reservoir and Conservation Area has about 2.5 kms of relatively flat, looping trails. The trails provide you with great scenery and the added peace of mind knowing that you won’t get lost.

Secord Forest Oak Ridges Trail

For a more authentic forest hike that’s still not too far from home and has parking available, we recommend the Secord Forest Oak Ridges Trail. With over 5 kms of carefully marked trails around Secord Pond, you walk through a mix of meadows, forests and wetlands.
